HI,

I read the whole Franklin Scandal. I can't recall if you said you were able to get in touch with Troy's mom or not. I was wondering if you were able to contact his fiance or child?


Also, do you believe Troy was killed to keep him from talking since a new investigation was starting?

Troy's mother wasn't receptive to talking to me, and I didn't attempt to contact his former lovers or child. I felt his appearance on Conspiracy of Silence and also his affidavit and the affidavit of his mother gave me a critical mass of corroboration regarding that aspect of the story.

Troy had an enigmatic death shortly after my first Franklin-related visit to Nebraska. His death via internal bleeding certainly could have been a strange coincidence and possibly a byproduct of his heroin abuse for years, but, then again, there's a lot of strange coincidences when it comes to Franklin. So, ultimately, I find myself being an agnostic on the matter.

Within the next week or so, I should be able to post Troy's death certificate.

rbeck - I'm curious if you know Troy's daughter's thoughts regarding Franklin, etc. Although if you can't share I understand!!!

We do have Troy's obituary from the newspaper (The Daily Nonpareil) of his home town of Council Bluffs, IA, here if you are interested in seeing that:

His daughter, Alexa, is the one who came to our chat here a few times.

Looking at the obituary, I notice it has been 7 years today since Troy passed.
