In Loving Memory of Big Al
On Tuesday January 19th my father had a massive cardiac arrest and passed away. This was very unexpected for my family and me.It is an understatement to say that he will be missed and our world is a lesser place without him.
Many people affectionately referred to him as Big Al.If you met him you would understand. My dad was big in stature and big in heart. He had the most amazing hearty laugh. One could not help but to laugh with him.He always had a joke or funny story to tell.He was the kind of man that people naturally wanted to be around.Everyone always liked Al.I cannot tell you how many times I have been told by others, “Your dad is a good man.”Al had very deep spiritual beliefs and had personal relationship with God.He walked the walk and everyone he met knew it.
I owe my character and strength to my parents.Through my dad’s life he taught me love and forgiveness as well as determination and steadfastness. He was a great father. Our relationship made it very easy for me to believe in unconditional love.I know that God loves me unconditionally because my father raised me by example.
He lived the most amazing life.I happy that he gets to see my brother again but it is very hard not to be selfish and wish that he was still here.My family and I appreciate your love and prayers.

Alisha - I am so sorry for the unexpected loss of your father. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. It is wonderful that you have such loving memories of him. I hope they will carry you through the difficult times you may have while grieving his death. He certainly helped to raise an amazingly strong woman.
Sorry about your Dad. A lot probably know the type. If you've been around a while eventually you come across these guys, one of the good ones. Condolences.
He was one of the most intelligent men that I ever met. So many of the coping skills I have today I learned from him. Someone should write a book about him--It would be quite a book.
